Yang-ha (b. 1994, KR) is a visual artist working between Amsterdam and Seoul. Her practice addresses the overlap between mediated violence and daily experience, often through controlled irony and measured humour. She works across painting, sculpture and installation. Her pastel-toned compositions combine cartoon-like imagery with abstraction. Recurring motifs such as explosions, clouds and fragments of landscape, produce works that appear light yet carry a persistent unease.
Yang-ha received her MFA with Cum Laude from the Frank Mohr Institute, the Netherlands, and her BFA from Ewha Womans University, Seoul. She has presented solo exhibitions at OCI Museum of Art, Seoul, among others. Her work is held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and OCI Museum of Art.
