Hanji Tower, 2023
Sun Lee is a South Korean artist based in the Netherlands. Her practice explores the social and cultural value of traditional craft within contemporary society, examining how inherited techniques can respond to present-day conditions. Her work repositions traditional craft not as static heritage, but as a living practice shaped by experimentation, research and material sensitivity. Working across sculpture and installation, she investigates how craft can function as a critical and adaptive language within today’s industrial and consumer-driven culture.
