  • Gwen Park is pleased to present Passing, Still, a group exhibition by Clara Schweers, Delphine Lejeune and Bohyeon Hwang. Everything is passing, yet something remains. Working with glass, textile and oil paint, the three artists follow bodies, images and objects as they move from one state to another. Their works hold traces of movement, touch and time without trying to preserve a moment unchanged.

Clara Schweers uses a newly developed glass technique to translate movement into individual gestures. Like still frames from an animation, her figures reveal the many positions through which a body passes before an action becomes recognisable. Movement continues within the fixed image.

Delphine Lejeune photographs, crops, enlarges and softens flowers before weaving them into textile. Viewed almost as if under a microscope, a petal becomes a landscape and pixels become threads. Her works change with the viewer’s distance and position, questioning what we recognise and how perspective shapes what we see.

Bohyeon Hwang’s paintings capture objects at different stages of change, their surfaces retaining the marks of touch and passing time. It is not always clear whether a flower is opening or fading. A dandelion releases its seeds without knowing where they will land. Hwang finds vitality in these unfinished states, where coming apart may also mark a beginning.

Passing, Still brings movement and stillness together. Bodies shift, images change and objects bear the traces of what has passed. Even as each moment slips away, something remains present.

Bohyeon Hwang is a South Korean artist whose painting practice explores the relationship between objects, memory, and materiality. Through layering, scraping, sanding, and stitching, she transforms fragments of everyday objects and discarded materials into evocative compositions that blur the boundaries between the tangible and the imagined. Her work reflects on how objects retain emotional traces and meaning beyond their original function.

Clara Schweers is a German artist based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, whose practice explores the relationship between digital aesthetics and physical form. Working with glass, she transforms virtual images and ideas into delicate sculptures, neon works, and installations. Through techniques such as glass fusing and flameworking, she creates precise yet fragile compositions that move between figuration and abstraction. Her work explores the possibilities of glass through experimentation, symmetry, and the interplay between digital precision and handmade processes.

Delphine Lejeune is a Belgian visual artist working experimentally across 2D and 3D printed surfaces. Her neo-craft practice bridges traditional craft and digital fabrication, exploring how technology can carry care, imperfection, and tactility. Through weaving, ceramics, and digital sculpture, she translates data into material experiences that blur the boundaries between the digital and the physical through texture, rhythm, and touch.
