Biography

Yamuna Forzani (b. 1993, UK) is a multidisciplinary artist and queer activist whose work envisions a vibrant queer utopia rooted in community, celebration, and resistance. Working through textile based processes alongside performance and social practice, she creates immersive situations in which visibility, care, and collective joy take form. Her knitted textiles, using 3D and jacquard techniques, underpin her visual language and extend into sculptural installations and spatial works that invite participation and belonging. Forzani graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.

Her work is held in the collections of TextielMuseum Tilburg, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem, and Kunstmuseum Den Haag. In 2026, Forzani will participate in group exhibitions presented across Huis van het Boek, the Canal Museum Amsterdam, and Luther Museum in Amsterdam.
