Anna Aagaard Jensen (b. 1990, Esbjerg) is an artist based in Amsterdam. Working with sculpture and installation, she creates figurative forms that re-stage familiar social archetypes through an emphatically hyper feminine vocabulary. Her works draw on the visual language of the body, using exaggeration, pose, and material presence to test how femininity is framed, consumed, and disciplined. With a satirical edge, Jensen’s practice examines power and social behaviour, lingering on the gap between what is publicly performed and what is privately lived.
Recent group exhibitions include I hit you with a flower, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (2024), and Hello darling, Welcome home, Centraal Museum, Utrecht (2024).
